The Making of a Hero at Harvard University
Harvard University is the home town university for the rich, handsome, elegant and articulate of American society’s most élite citizens. John Fitzgerald Kennedy fit the bill that a proud university like Harvard would like to have as one of their students. Mr. Kennedy was well respected at home and abroad with his elegant and articulate way with words. Mr. Kennedy eventually would become the 35th president of the United States. He became president of the United States at the age of 43 being the youngest man to ever hold office and the first Roman Catholic ever to be elected for such a high position in our government. Harvard University had many prominent citizens who walked those hallowed halls graduating with honors but Mr. Kennedy proved to be the most honored of them all. Kennedy born in Brookline, Massachusetts, on may 29, 1917 a descendant of Irish Catholics who had immigrate to America in the 19th century proved that he was a real American.
He gave the American people a sense of purpose to meet the challenges of a scientific age, help change the laws to strengthen the civil rights, enacting the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and opposed discrimination in all walks of life. Mr. Kennedy showed his courage during World War II as a PT boat commander and again when he backed down the Russians during the cold war when they wanted to place missiles in Cuba just a few miles from the shores of our nation. Mr. Kennedy was not a man to be reckoned with as he showed his bravery on the battle field and the political field. He showed Americans that being president had responsibilities and he took them on in full force. Mr. Kennedy help seniors by the additions of Medicare to give them health care coverage along with the monthly income they were already getting to help them with their cost of living. He also had congress pass a bill to increase social security to keep up with the cost of living scale and he added a program to help those who were not entitled to get social security. He did many things while he was president of the United States to help the people of America and people all around the world.
Kennedy along with his wife Jackie traveled around the world on behalf of the United States spreading good will and finding out what things we could do as a nation to help others in other countries. He fought aggression whenever he could make the world a safer place to live. He still believed in our nation’s future in the space age getting congress to fund the space program. He did much for our nation and it was a very sad day when he was assonated. Our nation and the world lost a great man that day in November of 1963. The halls of the Harvard University still Sound of his passing to commemorate a great man.

Bush insulter's. Question for you?
This question is for the liberals who are quick to make comments about the intelligence of our President.
As you know (I’m sure you have done your research(*sarcasm*)), George W. Bush attended college at Yale University. He had mediocer grades (virtually the same grades as your hero/ traitor John Kerry). Bush then went on to get a MBA at Harvard University.
Now, we know that money can help you get into those schools, but they do not help you graduate, as the vast majority of students are wealthy.
MY QUESTION(S) TO YOU:
1. Being so quick as to make childish insults about how smart he is, what is your educational background. (please no stretching the truth, although many of you will).
2. If he is as ‘dumb’ as you say he is, how did he ‘fool’ all of these democrats into thinking there were Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, even before he was in office?
http://www.snopes.com/politics/war/wmdquotes.asp
Ok, so I could say it was a typo, but you wouldnt believe me, and if I was insecure about my spelling, or even typo’s I could have used the spell check, but obviously I did not. The one pointing it out didn’t even answer the question.
To answer my age question, I received a BA from FSU in ’96.
As for the statement about ‘fooling’ the liberals, I used that word in quotes for a reason.
And someone said the liberals ‘just believed’ Bush about WMD. Yeah, do you really ‘believe’ that? Did you look at the dates of some of those quotes? Some of them were before he was in office, so who was telling them the lies then?
By the way;
Found in Iraq:
* 1.77 metric tons of enriched uranium
* 1,500 gallons of chemical weapons agents
* 17 chemical warheads containing cyclosarin (a nerve agent five times more deadly than sarin gas)
* Over 1,000 radioactive materials in powdered form meant for dispersal over populated areas
* Roadside bombs loaded with mustard and “conventional” sarin gas, assembled in binary chemical projectiles for maximum potency

jgrdino,, well since you challanged me not to question your ‘superior’ intellect, I think I will (you should have just stated your credentials and moved on.) Well, no, I can not derive e=mc^2 from f=ma. Not only have I never been taught how to do that, but I have never cared to learn. Now about your statement, ‘I must have known he lied’, that makes no sense. I showed you evidence of even the democrats making the same statements. If someone believes it based on evidence, how can it be a "lie". Here is an example: I weigh myself monday, and I weigh 180 lbs. On wednessday, I tell you I weigh 180lbs, then I go weigh myself and I weigh 182 lbs. Would you consider me a liar? Because a democrat apparently would. The weapons were moved to Syria.
Sometimes knowing how to "derive e=mc^2 from f=ma" isn’t good enough; you sometimes have to use some common sense.
I know of a genius who worked in a very high position for a company in Houston. He lived there for years and had to get a ride to work everyday because he could never find his way on his own. He was very ‘smart’, but didn’t have much common sense.
Learn to spell mediocre, idiot. You are as dumb as BUSH.

You elaborate to much with your question about Bush. Bush is a empty brain dork. Got it.

I have a BA. Although not from Yale. But having a degree does not make you smart it just means you paid tuition.
have you heard Bush speak? he is an idiot and it is painfully obvious.
I don’t think he fooled the democrats I just think they didn’t want to risk opposing him at the time because they were cowards. I think they figured that he web of lies would come crashing down on their own.
BTW. I am conservative. I just hate Bush. Doesn’t deserve to be president. He has not accomplished a single noteworthy thing in his life before getting elected. He had a rich family and thats all. That makes me sick.

I have a theory as to why Bush always messes up his speeches. You know in the movie Anchorman, Ron Burgundy always says what was on the teleprompter. Well, I think Bush reads whatever his writes have down on the paper and his writers secretly want him to look and sound stupid so they put all this stupid stuff on the paper and Bush goes out and reads it to America.

You have far too much time on your hands. My suggestion to you is to spend some of your time watching someone like Lou Dobbs.

Why was he so dumb to think there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq then.

I’m a free thinker, so I won’t answer your question. But I HAD to comment.
You asked a simple direct question, yet the retards could not even answer it. Instead they bash your spelling, say insane things like "a degree just means you paid tuition."
I am so sorry that you have to read all of these ignorant responses.
You gave them a forum and they can’t even take advantage of it…sad.
AND where did DR DEE get his phd?????

One: While I don’t "hate" or "bash" Bush (but I won’t say he is something he is not either), I don’t like him.
Two: I am not a liberal…so another incorrect assumption.
Three: It is documented that he is not the brightest bulb ie: mediocre grades.
Four: As a rule, mediocre grade students DO NOT get into Harvard so you tell me how he got there? Simple…coming from a family of wealth.
Five: Yes, fame and wealth can assure that you will grad college. This mediocre student had lots of financial assistance in becoming who he is but it still couldn’t give him brains…that is why he surrounds himself with smart advisors.
My background: college and nurse’s training (on my own and I paid for it…no parental help…all loans that I paid back).
He didn’t fool people into believing in WOMD, he lied to everyone…pure and simple. People are often tricked into believing lies.
BTW, for your info, I never voted for Bush…either election. I did a write in both times. So, my feelings about Bush didn’t develop after he was in office. I never liked him as a candidate. I like to learn about the people running for office and I simply did not like what I learned about him. I am also normally a good judge of character and my instincts screamed out fairly loud that this was not someone I would want for President.

You don’t really expect a straight answer from li(e)brals, do you? They’re still so busy trying to believe all of Clinton’s bullsh*t, they no longer know how to reason.
The fact that they can’t argue against Bush without using the words "hate" or "idiot" bear that out.

I’m not sure if your question is for me? I do insult Georgie Jr. but I don’t put labels on people, so I’m not sure you’d call me a liberal but I guess you could say I lean that way. You must be young, if you haven’ yet learned the difference between knowledge and wisdom. And yes, money does matter, even if all the students come from wealthy families, there is still a hierarchy. "Old Money" always comes first. Next how many generations of the family went to that school Finally how much cold, hard cash did the family dish out? How many donations? How many new buildings/ new swimming pool? NEXT: I don’t get this at all, you say Georgie Jr. "fooled" all the democrats in regard to WMD in Iraq. Does this mean that the republicans weren’t fooled? All the republicans just went along with it. That’s enough, you are beginning to bore me.

By the way, and this is the truth. I didn’t go to college until I was 30 yra old. Between student loans and ultimately scholarships, I somehow managed to get my BSW at Kean College (wasn’t that named for a republican?) GPA 4.0 summa cum laude, member of 2 honor societies — highest honors.
I have to agree with mymadsky and I would also like to add that I can’t believe that people actually answered this question saying things like "Learn how to spell mediocre, you’re as dumb as Bush." I would like to apologize for these idiotic answers and would also like to thank you for presenting us with a real question with real facts, not this "Why is Bush so stupid?" crap.

We never said it, honest. Only George said it. They made it up about us. We didn’t vote for war in Iraq either. We didn’t fire bombs at iraq either when saddam kept shooting at our planes. Our Liberal friends hate bush because they can’t hate us.

They just turned a blind eye to it. The democrats would also declare war on Iraq too, because the american foreign policy has been planned decades ago.

1. i am currently a mechanical and nuclear engineering student, so don’t you dare call me dumb b/c i doubt that you could derive e=mc^2 from f=ma.
2. as i understand it (however i could be wrong) was that congress granted bush the power to go to war which is something only congress can do. so that’s pretty much how he did it.
additionally, i think you asking that question shows that you know that bush lied to go to war in iraq. i just read in USA Today yesterday that Rumsfeld even said they were wrong about the weapons of mass destruction.

If you don’t pick ‘kathy’ as having the best answer then your question was for political soap-boxing and not a legitimate question. Her answer was so good and complete that I cannot add a thing to it.

My position is that we all must respect and honor our elected leaders no matter their faults or shortcomings. Whatever power they are wielding is given to them by God. As a matter of fact, they represent God. Like you, I take exception to anyone insulting or bad-mouthing President George Bush using profane language and any available media at their disposal. In many developing nations, calling the president a fool, a moron or dumb could land you in the worst trouble you can ever imagine. It’s unfortunate that Americans are taking their freedom of speech too far and using it as a licence to insult those in authority. Honestly, George Bush is not a fool or dumb or how do we explain how he won the US presidential election twice. Let’s give honor to whom honor is due, let’s respect the president.

IT’S NOT ABOUT WHO GRADUATED FROM WHERE BUT HOW THEY ARE DOING WHERE THEY STAND.PERSONALLY,I THINK BUSH FAILED IN QUITE EVERYWAY YOU CAN THINK OF..I’D SAY 97% OF THE WORLD HATES HIM,INCLUDING HIS OWN COUNTRYMEN…DOESNT HAVE TO BE FROM ANY POLITICAL PARTY,HE DID GET RE-ELECTED FOR THE 2ND TERM BUT THAT DOESNT ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING ….JUST MAKES IT WORSE,DOUBLES THE HATE AND HATE BRINGS ANGER.I DONT THINK CLINTON OR ANY OTHER PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES WERE HATED AS MUCH BUSH IS BEING HATED RIGHT NOW.
NOW,THE DUMB FACTOR….OBVIOUSLY THERE’S GOT TO BE SOME KIND OF TRUTH IN THIS FACTOR…MAJORITY SAYS BUSH IS QUITE NOT THE SMARTEST.IF YOU ASK ME I’D SAY IT’S A GREAT FAILURE TO HAVE SUCH POWERFUL PERSON IN A POSITION LIKE THAT WITH SO LITTLE KNOWLEDGE OF POLITICS.THANK GOD FOR THE TECHNOLOGICAL AND ECONOMICAL ADVANCES OF USA THAT THE COUNTRY CAN RUN ITSELF WITHOUT ANY PRESIDENT HAVING TO MONITOR IT.
