April Wine – I Like to Rock – 1980 Live @ Reading University, UK
April Wine performs their hit rocker “I Like to Rock” at the University of Reading in Reading, Berkshire England, for a 1980 BBC telecast of “Rock Goes to College”. Lead vocalist/guitarist Myles Goodwyn states in this telecast that it’s April Wine’s very first concert in Great Britain… which took place shortly after the release of the band’s 1979 “Harder Faster” album. Seen in this clip, is April Wine’s most famous (three guitar) hay-days lineup; Myles Goodwyn, Gary Moffet, Brian Greenway, Jerry Mercer (drums), and Steve Lang (bass). I like it, you like it… they like to rock!

Gary Moffet is the most unappreciated guitarist of all time- and Myles would agree with that candor!

I appreciate this so much – Harder Faster is without a doubt my all time favorite album, whem April Wine played in Reno on this tour they opened for Nazareth, and they were so good people were leaving during Nazareths set saying AW simply blew them away and they had seen enough – AW was that good.Did not actually see that concert only heard about it – caught them on the Beast tour in Vegas and it was the Best ever – Myles Moffet Rock!
