Does a high school suspension hurt your University applications?

A 5 day grade 10 High School suspension.
Will Universities care that much? They must care a little, and I mean Universities not College. I can maintain a high 80′s average if I really try. My average right now is around maybe 83.

You need to ask a College Admissions department to get a true answer. They look for patterns in your behavior that indicate what kind of a person you are.

Also, you can talk to the principal with your parents help to discuss what you might do extra to get the suspension wiped from your record. Everybody is entitled to one mistake and forgiveness is still a part of our culture. If you understand why you were suspended and really are not that kind of person, there may be something you can do to reverse their opinion. Five day is serious business. So, you may have a lot of making up to do. No school wants to keep you out of college if you belong there but they also do not want anyone getting a free pass when they have messed up in the belief that they can continue doing it and getting free passes.

Best of luck to you.

I don’t think so. When I got suspended the principle told me they don’t send it to universities. She could have been full of **** though.

They might, yes.
Depends on what exactly it was for, but it could definitely lower your chances into getting into higher ranked universities.

I don’t recall questions like that on my state university applications.

I assume you’re talking about a B average. If you are struggling in High School you are going to have an extremely difficult time In college, unless you’re a communications major. Just something to consider.
