University admission and honour roll in high school?

does being an honour student help increase my chances of getting into a certain University rather than just having really good marks on the important/required subjects? and what about other rewards (eg. MVP track and field etc.)?

Most people with good grades are on the honor roll. I doubt if it makes any difference to a university. They look at your marks and extra curricular activities.
Maybe it is different elsewhere. You do not say where you are, but you spell honour as though you are in the UK>
