This video contains my personal footage of Michael Steele speaking at Howard University on September 1, 2009. A pro-health care reform advocate by the name of Amanda Duzak interrupted with a brief story of her mother dying from cancer because she was not able to afford insurance. Duzak also erted that every American should have access to health care in the United States, a statement which resulted in a barrage of applause. Steele responded, ending with the umption that her main intention was the make the evening news.

I will comments only because I don’t want too much arguing and have my inbox spammed. I hope that we can all agree that Steele’s behavior was incredibly inappropriate.

In the recent study “The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy”, the authors of the paper, Professor Stephen Walt of Harvard University and John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago, charge that the United States has willingly set aside its own security and that of many of its allies in order to advance the interests of Israel. In addition the study accuses the pro-Israeli lobby, particularly AIPAC of manipulating the U.S. media, policing academia and silencing critics of Israel by labeling them as anti-Semitic.

A new article in the New York Review of Books examines the controversial report and the reaction to it. It’s called “The Storm Over the Israel Lobby.” It was written by media critic Michael Massing, who joins Amy Goodman for the interview. Michael is a contributing editor of the Columbia Journalism Review and frequently writes for the New York Review of Books.

THIS IS THE 2ND HALF OF THE SPEECH. PLEASE ALSO WATCH THE 1ST HALF:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8oUyFS556s

Speech delivered by Winston Churchill in 1946 in the auditorium (Aula) of the University of Zurich.

Sir Winston Churchill gives his opinion on the future of Europe promoting federation and giving United States of Europe as an example.

One thing has changed widly since this speech. In 1958 export of UK was distributed like this:
EEC - 13%
Rest of Europe - 13%
The Commonwealth - 52%

Today UK exports are distributed like this:
The rest part of EU - 56%
USA - 14.6%
The Commonwealth - 4%

The anomalous influence in the world of tiny European countries (such as UK or France) was dictated by historical events and our higher advance in time. We have no more this advantage in a global world. The only way to defend our interests is through our own - European - family.
