Yankin’ it in Europe: An American Guide to Studying Abroad. Now that he’s back in the States with his car, Rob decides to go on a very long road trip. He visits the studios of WMMR’s Preston and Steve and Villanova University, in particular the Honors Office and the Astronomy and Astrophysics Department where he runs into Mendel Doug.
And yes, I’m the one playing the piano on “El Centro” and I have the first solo (electric keyboard) on “Birdland”.

(Before I started filming,) Tegan starts to play “Take Me Anywhere,” forgets the words, and then stops. (She gets through, “bright, just like the stars above me, proud…” and then forgets the words and just goes “hmm hmm hmm hmm hmmm…” then stops… tries to start again… can’t remember the words… stops again and is like, “awkward…!”) Her and Sara decide to play “City Girl” instead since someone yelled it out, but remember they don’t know how to play that one either. They get all frustrated and move to the next song. Dahahaha. Tegan talks about how she needs a teleprompter to show her how to play her own songs.
Sara: “We’re super professional.”
“Idiot… why are you the leader of the band?”

Sara talks about how she wishes she had a teleprompter like Bryan Adams for all those times she forgets the words to the songs, and goes on a tangent about how it’s amazing that it’s one person’s sole job to monitor Bryan Adams’ teleprompter. “If we can see a nickel from space, can we not make a teleprompter that can run itself??” Slips up and says that when they were touring with Bryan Adams she had never been to a rock concert before (Tegan: Except the ones we were IN with Bryan Adams!!)
Sara introduces the band, and asks them whether they think space is real or another creation of the US military. Dahahahaha….

Joking with a Canadian audience member about how in Canada they don’t have call waiting because they still just have tin cans connected by strings for phones.
Tegan introduces “Soil Soil” by saying it’s about how when you don’t have call waiting, whenever you’re on the phone you’re wondering who else is calling you on the other line, and how she paid for call waiting just to avoid that.
