Im going to apply for colleges soon. What are some colleges that are harder to get into and more prestegious than the University of Maryland, But less selective than the Ivy League school, a sort of middle ground. Any list of schools would be great! Thanks in Advance, I would also probably be going into medicine or engineering.
Also consider Emory, Rice, Vanderbilt, Carnegie-Mellon, Tufts, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, and Case-Western Reserve, among others.

If you’re interested in East Coast schools, as you seem to be, then take a look at Bowdoin, Middlebury, Williams, Amherst, Swarthmore, NYU, Tufts, Johns Hopkins, and Boston University.

Princeton, Georgetown, Boston College, Notre Dame, Villanova, and UNC-Chappel Hill are the best choice according to me. For more, see this:

I would also add Boston College, Holy Cross, George Washington, and Villanova.
