Does an Ivy League education make someone better than another person who went to say a State college?

Isn’t that insulting to the person’s intelligence if s/he went to a state college?

We can all accept the fact that a person graduating from college is educated. But why do we have the discriminating opinion that a graduate from a Ivy League school is " better educated" ?

I believe the level of education an individual receives is largely based upon funding as I believe is the case in point with public schools and private schools. Schools who receive an extensive amount of funding (in most instances, IVY league colleges) often have access to more educational tools. It is not say that a student from a state college is less educated but probably and I say PROBABLY did not have access to all of the resources available to them (i.e. books, materials, educators) than a student from an Ivy League college.

Ivy League schools accept students that are more intelligent and teach them more. That’s just the way it is. Some people are just smarter than others and are, therefore, able to be educated more. It’s not insulting, it’s just the way it is.

Anyone that graduates from college is educated, just some graduate from better schools and are more educated.

I go to a very prestigious university, and I know that I am smarter than my friends that go to lesser schools, and that I’m learning more.

Just the way it is.
