How important is a job during your high school career to college admission?
Say you spent your entire High School career taking really hardcore rigorous courses, got a great SAT score, played one sport every year, were involved in your school newspaper 1 year, and tutored the freshmen 1 year. Would a job be too important to your College Admission?
Public high school.
Good grades.
Decent GPA
No Job commitment
I don’t believe public schools can ask about employment, but I suppose private schools can.
Doubt it would matter much though unless your employer has negative things to say about you as most universities will be more concerned about your academic history. Not having a job would show that you have more time to devote to learning.
