You could choose your own perspective on how you like to answer the question
In general, the biggest difference will be the caliber of the student. The cost is, without fail, very different.

Could you bullet point me some advantage of going to an Ivy League school for undergrad?
In general, Ivy League colleges have more resources to help you exceed in your profession than other colleges. From better quality of education to significant network connections. In Manhattan, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, have their own alumni buildings with extensive networks than any other college.
I double-checked in The Oxford Dictionary of English (revised edition), and the University of Bologna is the oldest in Europe. It began in the 11th century.
I’m a Canadian student trying to get into University in England or somewhere else in the UK in two years, what would I need to get accepted? Are there any exams i need to write here in Canada before I can apply? what kind of grades would i need? what are some good law schools in England? roughly how much would it cost per year for an international student to study in the UK?
Oxford University states their Canadian requirements as "At least 85% in OSSDs from Ontario, or equivalent grades from other provinces." That is the joint best university in the country so it is unlikely any university would want more than that.
Here are the university rankings for law in the U.K.: http://extras.timesonline.co.uk/tol_gug/goodUniversityguide.php?AC_sub=Law&sub=38&x=25&y=6
And international fees are currently around £10,000 a year.
Can an A-Level GCE holder be accepted in a university in Canada?
I am currently preparing for my GCE’s, taking the science subjects as an external candidate though.
I will like to study chemical or petroleum engineering at any University in canada that can accept me based on my information
Is that possible guys? Let me know thanks.
If you’re in the process of UCAS application, this is the time to start calling universities in canada and asking them.
i am taking a degree transfer program to US this year(2+2program)….my major is engineering….so i want to know the credit required to transfer to these universities. By this i will know which subject i have to take first…is there any site which i can get the full detail?
i know tat different universities have their own requirements…but is there any websites which lists them all together so tat i do not have to search one by one..and there are many U which i could not get the information about the tuition fees for different courses…can u guide me?
This is not a reasonable question. There are over 3,800 colleges and universities in the USA. Thousands of them are private schools which set their own standards for admission and transfer credit.
You should go to collegeboard.com or princetonreview.com and go through the search systems to narrow down the choices of schools you are interested in. Then you can individually email to the admissions depts of the top 10 or 20 schools you are interested in. American schools have many international students, so they are used to receiving and evaluating requests from foreign students, especially if you have attended a well-known University in your home country.
yes it is necessary
You know how on some college websites they have an email address, what are some good questions to ask and what do i not ask?
Do the admissions offices a favor and don’t email them unless you actually HAVE a question that you can’t find the answer to on their website. They’re getting tons of e-mails about applications, etc. and there’s no reason to unecessarily add to that if you dont have anything you specifically want to know. Asking them a question won’t earn you any brownie points (it wont hurt either), but for the sake of being courteous, I’d suggest cutting them a break.
Should I put work experience on University application? I am still in highschool and I heard putting work experience and volunteer experience would make my resume look good. I volunteer outside school twice a week regularly and I am involved in several school clubs such as school newspaper and plays. But, I don’t have a job and never thought of getting one since I don’t usually spend nor need money for shopping or anything like that. Should I get a job just to show that I am experienced and wellrounded??
If you already do volunteer work, then don’t get a job for the sole motivation of getting into college. Volunteer works shows that you are involved already. Along with your other clubs. Unless you have time and energy to burn and have a deep seated urge to get a job then don’t. It is okay to sleep every once and a while.
I’m trying to decide where to go to college, and i’ve been accepted to state universities, but am temped to go to community college because of the large price of a state university. I would transfer to a University in a couple of years.
What exactly is the difference between education from community college as opposed to a state University? Is it any better at a University, considering that it’s twice the price? Will it effect my ability to get a job after college at all?
The credits you would receive at a community college for the first two years equate to that of a university because most community colleges offer the same exact general education requirements.
Most beneficial is the price of a community college. Why go to a university for the first two years of school to get the same credits for a whole lot more money?
However, you must eventually go to a university to finish your degree, bottom line. A college education on an application looks excellent, and if you want to pursue grad school, a bachelors degree is usually a requisite.
So if you plan on transferring, I say go to the community college first. And no, it will not hurt your image with prospective employment. What they will see is that you have a bachelor’s degree from univesity ‘X’ in discipline ‘Y’.
